Claimant: Social Media

Claim: “70% of undocumented immigrants arrested by ICE under Trump were convicted or charged with a crime.”

Rating: BLATANT LIE

Explanation: GigaFact found this claim to be false. TRAC data shows that 72% of people in ICE detention as of September 21, 2025, had no criminal conviction. Records from Chicago’s “Operation Midway Blitz” show 97% of those arrested had no criminal record. Available evidence contradicts the claim entirely.
