Claim: An ad from the government of Ontario, Canada, “misrepresents” President Ronald Reagan’s April 25, 1987, address about tariffs.


Rating: MOSTLY FALSE


Explanation: While the ad rearranged and shortened Reagan’s speech, it accurately conveyed his general opposition to tariffs. Reagan also justified limited duties on Japan as a special case, which the ad omitted.
