Analysis / Bias

In review, the Murfreesboro Daily News Journal covers news, sports, lifestyle, and entertainment for the greater Murfreesboro, Tennessee area. Local news is reported with minimal loaded emotional language such as this Tennessee legislature passes bill authorizing local school boards, governor to open schools during emergencies. National and international news comes from other Gannett publications and the Associated Press.

Editorially, the Daily News Journal does not make Presidential endorsements, however, a review of op-eds shows that both sides are represented such as this that favor the left: Tennessee has a moral and financial obligation to implement a more equitable COVID-19 vaccine strategy and this favoring the right BidenCare will harm private health care, especially for seniors. Overall, in viewing dozens of op-eds we found slightly more favor a more liberal perspective. In general, the news is reported factually and with a left leaning editorial bias.
