CalWatchdog is a non-partisan journalism venture providing original investigative reports and news stories covering California state government.  Its focus, according to its website is: “We’re focused on reporting on the state Capitol, state agencies and on significant government-related stories from across California that are of statewide importance.”

In review, the content of headlines and articles use minimally loaded words and quote credible left leaning sources such as the Sacramento Bee, LA Times, and NY Times. The stories reported by CalWatchdog slightly favor the left in selection and wording. Overall, we rate CalWatchdog Left-Center Biased and High for factual reporting. (M. Huitsing 11/28/2017)
