History

Atlantic Media is a print and online media company best known as the Atlantic magazine and website publisher. Founded in 1997 they are the publisher of two well-known media brands. According to their about page, “Atlantic Media is dedicated to equipping opinion leaders with breakthrough ideas and original insights. Its powerful affiliate companies, including The Atlantic and National Journal.” The current President is Michael Finnegan.

Funded by / OwnershipDavid G. Bradley is the owner of Atlantic Media. David Bradley has been known as a centrist who donates to both political parties and various candidates. Atlantic Media derives revenue through their media properties, either via subscription/newsstand sales or advertising.

Analysis / Bias

The Atlantic Media website does not produce original news but rather republishes news from their brands, The Atlantic and National Journal. In the past, they published several other brands, but as of this review, they only retain The Atlantic and National Journal, which we rate High in factual reporting.
