Akkadian Times- Bias and Credibility

These media sources are moderately to strongly biased toward liberal/progressive causes through story selection and/or political affiliation.  They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports and omit reporting of information that may damage liberal/progressive causes. Factual Reporting: HIGH

The Akkadian Times is a news and opinion website and YouTube Channel that has a left-wing bias in reporting. Unfortunately, this source does not have an about page to describe ownership and mission. In reviewing their social media accounts, they state that they are opposed to the Alt-Right and most information on the website reflects this with negative articles exposing them. The Akkadian Times also covers Science/Technology, Feminism, Transgenderism, Atheism, and Anti-Fascism. In review, most non-science articles favor the left, both through story selection and the use of loaded words. All articles are properly sourced to credible media, however many times they use left-leaning sources. We could not find evidence of any failed fact checks. Overall, we rate Akkadian Times as left biased based on story selection that favors the left and high for factual reporting based on proper sourcing of information. (D. Van Zandt 10/21/2017)
