Netflix to Acquire Warner Bros. Discovery in $82.7 Billion Deal

Netflix has won the race to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) in a landmark $82.7 billion transaction combining cash and stock. The deal includes the acquisition of HBO Max and Warner’s iconic film studio, adding franchises like “Harry Potter,” “Game of Thrones,” and the DC Universe to Netflix’s expansive library. WBD’s Discovery Global TV assets, including CNN and TNT, will be spun out as previously announced.
