An earthquake of 5.1 magnitude struck the Bay Area late Tuesday morning. The center was located approximately 9 miles from Seven Trees and 12 miles east of San Jose, according to the U.S Geological Survey. USGS reported a 3.1 magnitude aftershock about 5 minutes later.
The US Nations Tsunami Warning Center does not expect to issue a Tsunami warning.
The San Jose Fire Department reports they have not received any emergency calls related to the quake.
