Shepard Smith, considered a moderate voice on Fox News, announced on air on Friday that he was leaving the cable network. Smith, who has been openly critical of President Donald Trump said the decision to leave was his own.
“Recently I asked the company to allow me to leave Fox News. After requesting that I stay, they obliged,” he said on air.
