BREAKING: Mueller told AG Barr his short summary of the special counsel report caused confusion, missed substance of investigation

Special counsel Robert Mueller told Attorney General William Barr that his short four-page summary of the more than 400-page report had caused public “confusion” about the findings of the probe.

Making his feelings known in a letter and follow-up phone call with the attorney general, Mueller told Barr his summary did not fully capture the context and substance of the report. Mueller pressed Barr for the release of his report’s summary sections, which would have provided more information to the public about the nearly two-year probe into Russian election interference and possible obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump.
