Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren became the first major Democrat to take initial steps towards a 2020 presidential run Monday when she announced the formation of an exploratory committee that will allow her to begin raising money for a potential bid.
In a video released with the announcement, Warren asked supporters to join her in a fight against the “dark path” favored by special interests that is hurting the middle class, and political corruption that “is poisoning our democracy.”
