BREAKING: House passes stopgap bill to fund government with $5 billion for Trump’s border wall, putting it at odds with Senate

The House vote came after President Donald Trump said Thursday he would not sign a short-term spending bill that did not include border-wall funding. The Senate will now have to consider whether to go along with spending billions on the wall or risk a partial government shutdown that could begin after midnight Friday.
