President Donald Trump tweeted on Friday morning that he is “considering a VETO” of a bill funding the government because the legislation does not address DACA recipients and does not fully fund his proposed border wall.
The tweet comes after the White House reassured lawmakers that Trump would sign the omnibus spending bill designed to avert a government shutdown that would start on Saturday.
Capitol Hill is totally unprepared for the threat, as members of the House and Senate are scattering across the country as Congress heads into a two-week recess.
