More women in office? Voters say overwhelmingly the country would be better off, a new NBC/WSJ poll finds

Two-thirds of voters (67 percent) of all political stripes say that the country would be better off if more women were elected to political office, while just a quarter of voters (24 percent) disagree, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

But it’s among Democrats that the sentiment is most overwhelming, with nearly nine-in-10 (87 percent) saying the country would be better off with more women in office.

  1. OK, but WHY would this leave the country better-off? Like men, women span the political spectrum.
