Analysis / Bias

The Olive Press generally reports Spanish politics from a moderately progressive perspective. Its coverage frequently scrutinizes Vox and right-wing alliances while showing greater sympathy toward immigration, environmental protection, and socially liberal positions.

For example, ANALYSIS: Juanma Moreno could be forced to break pre-election pledge after Andalucia vote – and why pact with far-right Vox may alarm expats frames a possible PP-Vox agreement in terms of concerns for foreign residents. Likewise, WEEKLY OPINION ROUND-UP: How the Spanish press is reacting to Vox’s “national priority” plan is explicitly critical of Vox’s immigration-related proposals.

However, the publication also reports critically on the Socialist-led government, including migration failures, budget problems, and political scandals. Reporting generally relies on named journalists, official data, firsthand interviews, and identifiable sources, supporting a Left-Center rather than strongly partisan rating.
