Notes: The Sioux City Journal is the daily newspaper and website of Sioux City, Iowa. Founded in 1864, the publication now covers northwestern Iowa and portions of Nebraska and South Dakota. The Journal has won numerous state, regional and national awards. It was named one of the “10 that do it right” by the publishing trade journal Editor and Publisher in 2009 and 2013. The Journal is owned by Lee Enterprises Inc. In review, the Sioux City Journal uses minimal loaded words and tends to have balanced editorial positions, though there is some negativity toward President Trump.
