Pseudoscience Dictionary: Touchless Knockout

Touchless Knockout - Pseudoscience Dictionary - Debunk - Alt Health - Fake - Junk Science

Pseudoscience: Consists of statements, beliefs, or practices that are claimed to be both scientific and factual but are incompatible with the scientific method (unproven, not testable, or opposed to the consensus of traditional science).

Touchless Knockout

Definition: The Touchless Knockout is a move practiced in several martial arts. It is said to involve a blast of Chi/Qi energy at a target, knocking them out without being physically handled.

Reasoning: Qi is said to be immeasurable, which makes it impossible to prove. Almost all examples of the Touchless Knockout are done on Martial Arts students who are either under the effects of hypnosis or are actively colluding with the sensei. Any attempt on performing the Touchless Knockout on skeptics and non-believers have proven fruitless.

More Information

Conclusion: Martial Arts are a good way to get necessary exercise, and some are incredibly effective when it comes to Self-Defense. However, as soon as your teacher claims he can knock someone out without touching them, it’s best for you to call ‘Bullshido’.
