MinnPost is a nonprofit online newspaper based in Minneapolis, founded in 2007, with a focus on Minnesota news. According to their about page: “MinnPost provides news and analysis based on reporting by professional journalists, many of whom have decades of experience in the Twin Cities media. The paper is owned by the nonprofit MinnPost. Revenue is generated through memberships, donations, advertisements, and grants. They also disclose their funding on the about page. Grants of over $50K come from “The Otto Bremer Trust (Greater Minnesota reporting), Facebook Journalism Project (digital growth), The McKnight Foundation (general operating), and The Joyce Foundation (effective democracy,  environment, and gun violence prevention).”

In review, MinnPost publishes a wide variety of news concerning Minnesota, ranging from politics to the environment.
