History
Journal of Physiological Sciences is a peer-reviewed open-access journal published by BioMed Central (BMC) covering research on Physiology. According to its about page, “The Journal of Physiological Sciences publishes peer-reviewed original papers, reviews, short communications, technical notes, and letters to the editor, based on the principles and theories of modern physiology and addressed to the international scientific community.”
Founded in 2000, BioMed Central, or BMC, is a United Kingdom-based, for-profit scientific open-access publisher. They publish more than 300 journals that are entirely online.
