History
Hürriyet Daily News, originally established as the Turkish Daily News in 1961, is Turkey’s oldest English-language daily newspaper. In 2001, it was acquired by the Doğan Media Group and became part of Hürriyet in 2006. In March 2018, the newspaper, along with other media assets, was sold to Demirören Holding, a conglomerate known for its pro-government stance.
