Analysis / Bias

Faktisk.no is a professional fact-checking outlet focused on verifying claims using documented evidence and primary sources.

For example, in Claims kindergartens have “pool rooms”: – No basis in reality, the outlet investigates viral allegations by interviewing officials, reviewing policy documents, and presenting contextual evidence before concluding the claim lacks foundation.

In Trump and the missing Epstein files, the reporting carefully distinguishes between documented records, missing files, and allegations, clearly noting where verification is not possible.

Language is generally neutral and evidence-based. While some topics may involve politically sensitive claims, the reporting format remains investigative rather than opinion-driven. Transparency standards exceed industry norms due to detailed funding disclosures and adherence to Norwegian press ethics and the IFCN code.

Failed Fact Checks

  • No failed fact checks by IFCN-approved organizations were found. Faktisk.no itself is an IFCN signatory and is subject to annual independent compliance review.

Overall, we rate Faktisk.no as Least Biased due to its evidence-based fact-checking methodology and editorial independence. We rate its factual reporting as High because of transparent funding, documented sourcing, and IFCN certification. (D. Van Zandt 03/04/2026)
