Claimant: Sen. Ashley Moody (R-FL)

Claim: The Biden administration “reversed” a policy of deporting people in the country illegally who committed felonies.

Rating: FALSE

Explanation: The Biden administration adjusted immigration enforcement priorities and briefly attempted a 100-day pause on some deportations in 2021. However, migrants who posed national security or public safety threats, including those convicted of serious crimes, remained deportation priorities. During Biden’s final two years in office, more than 413,000 migrants were deported, including over 158,000 with criminal charges or convictions.
