Analysis / Bias

CrowdBunker has a noticeable far-right bias and often features conspiratorial content, typically without sufficient editorial oversight. The platform operates similarly to BitChute, and Rumble, featuring a mix of alternative news, political commentary, and conspiracy-driven narratives that are often removed or restricted on mainstream social media.

CrowdBunker opposes content moderation, even for state-sponsored outlets known for spreading disinformation. In an open letter to RT and Sputnik France, the platform condemned the EU’s ban on Russian state media and offered them unrestricted access. This aligns with CrowdBunker’s broader approach of hosting unfiltered content without editorial oversight, including misleading and conspiratorial narratives.

One example of its content is a video titled “Allocution glaçante de Macron: il veut la guerre pour la France !” (Macron’s chilling speech: he wants war for France!), which falsely claims that President Emmanuel Macron is pushing for war, implying a secret agenda to extend his power. The comment section audience calls for military intervention against Macron, labeling him a “psychopath” and a “puppet” of global elites, suggesting a baseless narrative of betrayal for a hidden elite.

Another video, “Ukraine: Ursula tente un incroyable coup d’État!” suggests that European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is staging a coup in Ukraine, a claim with no factual basis. The video echoes pro-Kremlin propaganda, reinforcing the idea that the West is illegitimately interfering in Ukraine.

The site also hosts videos such as “Jesse JILL – INCROYABLE TRUMP & POUTINE S’UNISSENT POUR BLOQUER LA FRANCE & L’ UK,” which discusses an alleged alliance between Trump and Putin to block France and the UK. The narrative aligns with pro-Kremlin conspiracy theories that suggest Western nations are engaged in a covert geopolitical struggle against Russia. At the same time, figures like Trump and Putin are portrayed as resisting globalist influence. Another example of the platform’s content is a video titled “Affaire Brigitte Macron, écoutez ce français c’est grave ce qu’il dit,” which presents unverified claims about President Macron’s wife Brigitte Macron. The video heavily relies on sensationalism and speculation rather than factual reporting, a pattern common among videos hosted on CrowdBunker.

These examples indicate that CrowdBunker primarily features content that lacks editorial oversight, often promoting speculative claims. Many of its most popular videos do not cite credible sources and present strongly one-sided narratives without independent verification.

Failed Fact Checks

  • CrowdBunker itself has not been fact-checked by major IFCN-approved organizations like Snopes, FactCheck.org, or PolitiFact. However, many videos on the platform contain widely debunked claims, including false narratives about the European Union and Ukraine, unverified claims about Emmanuel Macron and globalist conspiracies, misinformation regarding Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, and NATO, and pseudoscientific health claims, particularly concerning vaccines and pharmaceuticals.

Overall, we rate CrowdBunker as a Far-Right Biased platform due to its promotion of conspiracy theories, pseudoscience and anti-mainstream narratives. We rate its reporting as Very Low in factual accuracy, as it frequently hosts misleading, speculative, and outright false information without journalistic standards or verification processes. (M.
