Analysis / Bias
In review, Capital & Main is a progressive liberal publication with a tagline that reads “Investigating Money, Power and Society.” Capital & Main publishes news with the use of moderately loaded words such as this: Big Pharma Bankrolled Pro-Trump Group As Trump Pushed Pharma Tax Cut. This article and all other reviewed were very well sourced to credible media outlets such as the Associated Press and the Sacramento Bee. When it comes to issues, Capital & Main frequently covers left-leaning issues such a Climate Change and Green Energy. They also work to expose establishment politicians who may support right-leaning issues such as this: Beto vs. Democrats: Texas Lawmaker Frequently Voted to Help Trump and GOP. The article goes on to say: “A rising Democratic star has voted for GOP bills that Trump critics say have aided big banks, undercut the fight against climate change and supported the president’s anti-immigrant agenda.” Capital & Main does not have a favorable view of President Trump as evidenced by this article: Trump’s Treasury Department Hands Banks a Windfall.
A factual search reveals that Capital & Main has not failed a fact check.
