YouTube Rejects Meta’s Teen Safety Settlement Plan

YouTube CEO Neal Mohan says the platform will not join Meta’s multistate settlement imposing new restrictions on teen social media use. Meta agreed to pay up to $18 billion and introduce measures including a two-hour daily limit and overnight restrictions for users under 18, with longer commitments if YouTube and TikTok adopted similar rules. New Mexico Jury Finds Meta Misled Facebook Users
