Neo-Nazi Suspect Accused of Plotting Journalist’s Murder

Federal prosecutors allege an Alabama neo-Nazi leader discussed plans to murder a journalist who had reported on his extremist activities. According to testimony from an FBI undercover investigation, Aiden Daniel Cuevas allegedly described the journalist as someone who “needed to be taken off the board” while also seeking weapons and paramilitary training. Prosecutors say Cuevas founded a white supremacist group tied to the broader neo-Nazi “active club” movement and discussed targeting multiple individuals, including critics and suspected informants. CNN Sues Perplexity Over AI Content Use

CNN has filed a federal lawsuit against AI search company Perplexity, accusing it of unlawfully scraping and distributing more than 17,000 pieces of CNN content without permission. The lawsuit alleges that Perplexity continued to use CNN material after licensing negotiations failed and falsely implied that users could access premium CNN content through its services. Washington Star Sues NOTUS Over Rebranding

The revived Washington Star newspaper has filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against political news outlet NOTUS over its planned rebrand to “The Star.” The lawsuit argues the new name is confusingly similar to the historic Washington publication and could mislead readers. The legal battle pits Washington Star owner Dovid Efune against NOTUS publisher and Politico co-founder Robert Allbritton as both organizations seek to expand their influence in Washington’s competitive media landscape.
