Washington Post Launches Source Annotation Program

The Washington Post is introducing “From the Source,” a new feature enabling named sources in articles to annotate or comment on the published reporting. Initially piloted on climate stories, the tool will later expand across other sections. Executive Editor Matt Murray emphasized the initiative’s goal of fostering direct, civil discourse on Post platforms, rather than on social media. Source contributions will be reviewed by editors before publication, and reporters can also respond to those annotations. GB News Expands to U.S. with Washington Bureau and New Political Editor

UK-based GB News is establishing a U.S. presence with a Washington, D.C. bureau and will begin two hours of daily live broadcasts from September, hosted by Bev Turner.
