Survey: Majority of Americans Lack Trust in Media’s Coverage of Trump

A new YouGov poll finds that 67% of Americans have little to no trust in the media to report on President Trump fairly and accurately. Only 4% expressed a “great deal” of confidence, while 24% had a “fair amount.” Meanwhile, 44% of respondents trust the Trump administration more than the media to relay facts accurately. The survey also found a partisan divide, with 63% of Republicans believing coverage has been “too negative,” while 42% of Democrats said it has been “too positive.” The poll was conducted among 1,124 adults between January 30 and February 3, with a margin of error of 4 percentage points. Critics argue that this flaw could undermine Meta’s similar plan to replace third-party fact-checking with user-generated contributions. MSNBC Cancels Joy Reid’s Show in Major Primetime Shake-Up

MSNBC is canceling The ReidOut, hosted by Joy Reid, as part of a broader network restructuring. Symone Sanders Townsend, Michael Steele, and Alicia Menendez will take over Reid’s 7 p.m. slot. Alex Wagner will also exit her primetime role but remain with the network as a correspondent. These changes come amid a leadership transition at MSNBC, with Rebecca Kutler replacing Rashida Jones as head of content strategy. The network has not officially commented on the decision. Interesting but concerning. If 85% of Community Notes stay hidden, it defeats Crazy Cattle 3D the purpose of fact-checking. Bipartisan approval sounds good in theory, but not if it silences truth.
