Early Fox News reports suggested Jabbar and the vehicle involved had crossed the U.S.-Mexico border just days before the attack, fueling claims from prominent figures like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Donald Trump Jr. However, Fox corrected its report within an hour, clarifying that the truck entered the U.S. in mid-November and was not driven by Jabbar. I think this is a good reminder to slow down before sharing breaking news, especially when emotions are running high. I have caught myself opening several tabs after seeing a dramatic headline, much like the time I searched Leaders phone number while sorting out a related service issue. One post can travel far before a correction reaches the audience. I try to wait for confirmed details and check whether an article has been updated. It only takes a few extra minutes, and that habit makes online conversations calmer. Clear corrections matter, but readers also play a role by sharing carefully and thoughtfully.
