I have called radio stations and asked the following: Any comment about Obama making an amendment to the Smith-Mundt Act of 1948 and so far EVERY radio host in the Cincinnati area told me, “So sorry Sir, never heard of it.” …… PURE Propaganda. Most will cut me off or hang up. I suspect this is a taste of the future…I’m 83 and NEVER thought I’d see the day when our beloved Constitutional Republic plays second fiddle to Europe.
The short answer is yes he did amend the Smith-Mundt Act of 1948. The long answer is that it was a positive as it increased available information for Americans. I suggest checking out this link as it dispels some of the false claims about this amendement.
