Media Bias Fact Check selects and publishes fact checks from around the world. We only utilize fact-checkers who are either a signatory of the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) or have been verified as credible by MBFC. Further, we review each fact check for accuracy before publishing. We fact-check the fact-checkers and let you know their bias. When appropriate, we explain the rating and/or offer our own rating if we disagree with the fact-checker. (D. Van Zandt)

|FALSE||Claim by Protect Women Ohio: Ohio’s Issue 1 “allows for abortion after viability for…financial reasons.”
Politifact rating: False (Issue 1, an Ohio ballot measure, would codify abortion access in the state’s constitution. It would allow for abortion bans after a fetus is viable, but require exceptions for the mother’s life and health — a standard similar to Roe v. Wade. “Financial reasons” are not included as an exception in the amendment, but anti-abortion groups say the term “health” could be interpreted to include finances.
|Claim by End_Wokeness and promoted by Elon Musk: Does CCTV Show 2020 Ballot Stuffing in Georgia?
Newsweek rating: False (The footage of the staff leaving does not show them being asked to leave, nor does it show staff taking “suitcases” of ballots, scanning them unsupervised. It shows a group of staff packing up and leaving for the evening before another group, tasked with scanning ballots, returned to continue scanning ballots at the request of election officials.)
|TRUE||Claim via Social Media: Virginia ballots that are not filled in perfectly are still counted.
WUSA9 rating: True (Voting machines in Virginia will count ballots that are not filled out perfectly and give voters a chance to fix errors.)
|MISLEADING||Claim via Social Media: “There is scientific evidence that mammograms are unsafe, unnecessary, and create completely unnecessary risk and anxiety for any woman”
FactCheck.org rating: Misleading (Experts agree mammograms are the best tool to screen for breast cancer and that the benefits of the exam outweigh the risks.)
|Claim by Nikki Haley (R): China is “the largest developer of neuro-strike weapons, weapons engineered to change the brain activity of military commanders and segments of the population.”
PolitiFact rating: Mostly True (China’s development of brain weapons has been noted by the U.S. government, which in 2021, sanctioned 11 Chinese research institutes for using biotechnology processes to support the Chinese military, including “purported brain-control weaponry.”)
|FALSE||(International: Germany): Claim by Peter McCullough: A German study has revealed long COVID is linked to the vaccine.
Australian Associated Press rating: False (The study makes no such claim.)
