FALSE
Claim by Gretchen Whitmer (D): “Since I took office, Michigan has added more than 25,000 auto jobs.”

Politifact: Mostly False (The state has not seen a net gain of 25,000 jobs since Whitmer took office. Data shows Michigan’s auto industry is still recovering from the massive job losses suffered during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.)

Whitmer touts growth in auto industry, but jobs data doesn’t show that

BLATANT
LIE
Claim via Social Media: Trump Called Jan 6 Witness Cassidy Hutchinson “Terrible Employee” in Statement.

Newsweek rating: False (The specific screengrab of a statement, purportedly showing Trump calling Hutchinson a “terrible employee” and a “TOTAL FAILURE”, was in fact fabricated.)

Fact Check: Did Donald Trump Call Cassidy Hutchinson a ‘Terrible Employee’?

FALSE Claim by Will Jones (Daily Sceptic): “Covid Vaccines More Likely to Put You in Hospital Than Keep You Out”

Health Feedback rating: Inaccurate (The preprint compared the risk of serious adverse events with the risk of COVID-19 hospitalization. However, several of these events, such as rash and diarrhea, don’t typically require hospitalization. Claiming that the preprint showed COVID-19 vaccines are more likely to cause hospitalization than prevent it is inaccurate and misrepresents the analysis.)

Studies show that the benefits of COVID-19 vaccines outweigh their risks; preprint claiming to show otherwise is flawed

FALSE (International: Argentina): The Argentine government is giving the entire nation a public holiday for the duration of the 2022 World Cup.

Full Fact rating: False (No such holiday has been announced. The country gave workers a half-day holiday in 1978 when it was hosting the event.)

Argentina is not giving all its citizens a 40-day public holiday so they can watch the World Cup – Full Fact
