Analysis / Bias

Scoopnest curates/aggregates news from Twitter using a variety of sources. Including major media sources as well as individuals with a strong presence on Twitter. In a case like this, we review the sources utilized to determine bias. We first looked under the politics category and found Donald Trump’s Twitter account featured as well as Hilary Clinton and a range of left and right leaning politicians. Under the “News” tab we found the left-leaning BBC, MSNBC, and New York Times. We also found right-leaning sources such as Newsmax, Michelle Malkin, and the NRA. Some of these sources are listed as Questionable by MBFC. In general, Scoopnest does not appear to be biased, but rather publishes any news that is trending on Twitter. Based on this we rate them Least Biased but Mixed for factual reporting due to the use of poor sources.
