Here you go again, making false claims as far as truthfulness. It’s on tape, Biden making the boast that he would withhold $1 billion in funds to Ukraine if the prosecutor investigating his son Hunter was not fired. You lie. The video is out there. Look and remove the leftist blinders.

Larry, since you seem pretty confident I suppose you’ve seen this video. Surely you wouldn’t be asserting it’s “out there” just because someone told you so. Please share the URL, as I’d like to see it, too.

I wouldn’t waste my time if it were only Donald Trump making the claim, since he is a well-established liar and manipulator, and I have no intention of chasing his endless delusions and distractions. But I’m always willing to give the benefit of the doubt to one of his supporters (correct me if I’m wrong), at least until they demonstrate that they only care about his opponents’ lies. As an independent I’m happy to call out lies on the left and the right, but no Republican or Democrat president in my lifetime has told anywhere near as many obvious and demonstrable lies as Trump has.

Thank you, Bob. I watched the video and I agree it’s fair that The Federalist labeled it as “bragging” from Biden. (Hardly bragging compared to what we’re used to from Trump, but a “boast” nonetheless, to use Larry’s word.) It’s also empirically clear that Joe Biden admits he motivated Ukraine to fire the investigator by otherwise denying them a loan guarantee. The rest of my comment is not directed at you.

Larry, is this the video you were referring to? I hadn’t seen it before because I’ve never researched this story before. The reason: Donald Trump made the claim. As mentioned before, I won’t waste my time checking out his every delusion.

But now that I have started looking into it: I still don’t see the connection to Hunter Biden, and that’s the only potential scandal, right?… daddy protecting his corrupt son, even when it affects official government business? That would indeed suggest Joe might be corrupt, too — I get it. Hunter was working for the company being investigated for fraud — I get it. But in the full story at the link provided above, it says…

“Biden traveled to Kyiv as vice president and warned Ukraine’s then-president, Petro Poroshenko, that the U.S. would withhold $1 billion in loan guarantees until Ukraine removed its prosecutor general, Viktor Shokin, WHO WAS WIDELY VIEWED AS CORRUPT.
At the time, the international community and anti-corruption advocates in Ukraine WERE ALSO CALLING FOR SHOKIN TO BE REMOVED FROM OFFICE for his failure to aggressively prosecute corruption.
But Trump has repeatedly distorted the facts about Biden’s work in Ukraine to baselessly accuse his Democratic rival of seeking Shokin’s removal to help his son, Hunter, who at the time was a board member of a Ukraine gas company called Burisma.”

They go on to say “THERE’S NO EVIDENCE HUNTER BIDEN WAS BEING INVESTIGATED.”

I don’t mean to SHOUT; I just had to emphasize the important part. It seems quite plausible to me that that was the motive by the Obama administration, which Joe Biden officially represented. Why should anybody even have to defend against the constant flow of distortions and fantasies coming from Trump? The burden is on HIM (now I am shouting) to show evidence for his ridiculous claims — but he typically doesn’t.

Hmmmm, who would conceive of such a thing — doing some political manipulation to benefit his son? This seems like a clear case of Trump projecting and distracting again. Accusing others of doing all the things he’s doing.

In your defense, I do think the fact-check could have been written a bit more clearly…

Claim by Donald Trump (R): Cited “explosive documents” published by the New York Post to claim Joe Biden “went to Ukraine and threatened to withhold $1 billion in aid if they did not fire the prosecutor that was investigating his son and the company that his son worked for.”
    FactCheck.org rating: False

I can see from the video and the article that this did indeed happen. But that doesn’t make it fair for you to say, “here you go again, making false claims…” and “you lie.” MediaBiasFactCheck.com isn’t the one that did the fact check. They’re reporting the conclusion by FactCheck.org. And the devil is in the details, — the “explosive documents” don’t seem to be explosive at all. They seem to be another of Trump’s manipulative and/or paranoid distractions.

  4. I see your voluminous reply in desperate defense of Saint Biden was made in October 2020… I would be interested how you would defend both Hunter and Biden now in 2021…

Now that Hunter’s “pesky” mislaid “laptop from hell” has revealed thousands of emails and dozens of photos showing Joe with Hunter and his dubious foreign business partners… contradicting dad’s statements/lies of non-involvement and knowledge of his son’s business dealings.

Imagine if this was Trump? Not that I’m implying you are bias in anyway…
