Analysis / Bias
In review, mayoclinic.org provides an alphabetized list of medical conditions, medications, diseases, and procedures that are geared toward a lay reader. Most articles contain a list of symptoms, diagnoses, and treatments. Although the mayoclinic.org is a credible source of medical information they have faced controversy. In 2018, they published misleading information regarding Preeclampsia which ProPublica covered in this article Trusted Health Sites Spread Myths About a Deadly Pregnancy Complication. Mayo Clinic immediately corrected this misinformation. In general, all information is pro-science and guided by medical experts.
