Twitter bans right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and Infowars for abusive behavior

Twitter said Thursday that it had “permanently suspended” the accounts of Alex Jones and his Infowars website because of tweets and videos posted on Wednesday that violated the platform’s abusive behavior policy, “in addition to the accounts’ past violations.”

The action comes as President Donald Trump and some Republican lawmakers have accused tech and social media companies of showing political bias by keeping certain users off their platforms. Jones also confronted Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey on Wednesday after Dorsey had testified before a congressional committee.

  1. This was WAY overdue. Jones has been fomenting civil war, killing the “opposition” and inciting for violence for years. He’s been repeatedly exposed for doing this. And for his incessant lies, deception and conspiracies manufactured whole cloth from rumor and innuendo. The man should be in jail, he’s ripped off his fan base for millions and millions of dollars too, lost custody of his kids, cheated on his wife and is a overall dirt bag, a racist non-human pile of dog dung.
