President Donald Trump announced joint U.S. military exercises with South Korea would be put on hold following his historic meeting with Kim Jong Un.
However, he said sanctions against North Korea would not be removed until “we are sure that the nukes are no longer a factor.”
The pair earlier signed a joint document reaffirming Kim’s promise to pursue “complete” denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
“From the beginning, we got along,” Trump told reporters.
