Special counsel indicts 13 Russians for election meddling

Special counsel Robert Mueller on Friday announced the indictment of 13 Russians for meddling in the American presidential election in 2016.

The indictments are the first tied directly to Russian interference in the election and allege that some of the Russians traveled to the U.S. under false pretenses to collect intelligence and to “reach significant number of Americans for purposes of interfering with the US political system, including the presidential election of 2016.” A major goal of the operation was to support the election of Donald Trump and disparage Hillary Clinton, the indictment says.

  1. And if Russia files charges against Mueller and 13 Americans for extreme interference in Russia and Ukraine?
