President Donald Trump on Sunday said the program which protects young immigrants brought illegally to the states by their parents is probably going to be dismantled.
“DACA is probably dead because the Democrats don’t really want it, they just want to talk and take desperately needed money away from our military,” Trump tweeted
Trump controversially rescinded the program in 2017 leaving hundreds of thousands of “Dreamers” in limbo, he provided Congress with 6 months to craft a legislative fix.
Lawmakers have yet to reach a deal which satisfies the White House.
The President has sought funding for his border wall with Mexico, a cornerstone promise of his campaign in return for the protection of Dreamers claiming the wall along the US-Mexico border “must be part of the deal”
