Donald J Trump Jr, the eldest son of President Donald Trump has today released emails detailing how he embraced the idea of Russian support for his father’s campaign. Trump Jr claims to have released the emails in an effort to be completely “transparent”.
The emails which were tweeted Tuesday clearly show that Trump Jr was told about potential incriminating evidence against Hillary Clinton in the lead up to the election.

According to the emails, the evidence would “incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father”.
The email goes on to say “This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr Trump,”
Trump Jr, then responds “If it’s what you say I love it especially later in the summer.”
According to the New York Times, Trump Jr then met with Russian Lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya under the promise that she had incriminating evidence against Clinton.
However, Trump Jr claims he did not receive any compromising information on Hillary Clinton as Natalia’s “statements were vague, ambiguous and made no sense. No details or supporting information was provided or even offered. It quickly became clear that she had no meaningful information,”
