History
TLDR News is a British digital news organization founded in 2017 by Jack Kelly. It began by producing explanatory coverage of Brexit and UK politics before expanding into international affairs, European politics, business, podcasts, and daily news.
TLDR primarily publishes video explainers through its UK, EU, Global, Business, Daily, and podcast channels. The organization states that its goal is to make complex news and politics accessible to younger audiences while remaining nonpartisan and impartial.

TLDR News is owned and operated by Three26 Ltd, a British private company. UK Companies House records identify founder Jack Kelly as the sole active person with significant control, holding at least 75% of the shares and voting rights.
According to TLDR’s 2026 manifesto, Kelly currently owns 100% of the company. Revenue comes from YouTube advertising, sponsorships, audience support, merchandise, print products such as its Too Long magazine, and related commercial activities.
