Right Web - Left Center BiasLEFT-CENTER BIAS

These media sources have a slight to moderate liberal bias.  They often publish factual information that utilizes loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes) to favor liberal causes.  These sources are generally trustworthy for information, but may require further investigation. See all Left-Center sources.

Factual Reporting: HIGH

Notes: Right Web publishes information that is opposed to USA military interventionism. According to their about page: “Right Web is an independent online publishing project that assesses the work of prominent organizations and individuals—both in and out of government—who promote aggressive or militaristic U.S. foreign and defense policies, with a special focus on the “war on terror” and the Middle East. Efforts to push interventionist U.S. policies often cross party lines and can lead to seemingly unlikely alliances, thus Right Web examines individuals and organizations across the political spectrum, as well as influential “nonpartisan” and “apolitical” actors who collaborate closely with groups that push a hawkish agenda.”

In review, Right Web presents with a left-center bias in story selection as most articles published are opposed to neoconservatives and military hawkishness. Right Web also criticizes centrist democrats for the same policies. Right Web uses loaded language in their headlines, but tends to use less in their well sourced articles that typically use official government information or high factual left-center sources. We could not find an instance of a failed fact check. Overall, we rate Right Web Left-Center biased based on their non-interventionist political position and editorial content. We rate them high for factual reporting based on proper sourcing. (D. Van Zandt 10/19/2017)
