Bias: Extreme Right, Propaganda, Hate Group
Notes: Christian Action Network (CAS) is a Christian activist organization founded by Martin Mawyer in 1990. The organization states that its “primary goals are to protect America’s religious and moral heritage through educational efforts.” In reality CAS’ primary goal is to attack LGBTQ, Muslims and immigrants. According to the Southern Poverty Law Center CAS is considered a hate group for its anti-LGBTQ and anti-Muslim messages. Further, this source has made false claims via Politifact. We rate this source questionable based on failed fact checks and labeling as a hate group. (D. Van Zandt 7/30/2017)
