Your answer to #2 on this quiz is wrong.
Did New York Governor Kathy Hochul create 700,000+ jobs since becoming Governor?
Your answer: True
My answer: False
The correct answer is False. NYG Hochul and her media supporters have inflated her job numbers, similar to how they’ve done for Biden and others, including the covid job recovery figures that contributed to the 722,100 total. Out of the 8.3 million private sector jobs in New York, over 1.9 million were jobs regained since the peak of covid, meaning they were not newly created. Excluding those jobs from the count would lower the number Hochul is using to promote her achievements. While any politician may wish to take credit for achievements that are not truly theirs simply because it is advantageous, it’s essential to recognize that these figures encompass both new job creation and positions restored following the economic downturn caused by the pandemic. Understanding the difference between job creation and job recovery is key to grasping the complete picture of employment shifts during her time in office.
Blending these figures and presenting them as Hochuls without acknowledging the reality is a significant display of bias. This is my initial visit to your website, and I was hoping to determine if it genuinely adheres to its declared mission. I am let down, and this reinforces my conviction that fact-checking sites simply serve as instruments for the left to justify their misrepresentations. It’s yet another mechanism for the left to monopolize on confirmation bias.
