Former White House counsel Don McGahn “has been directed” to follow a Justice Department opinion saying he should not testify before the House Judiciary Committee, said White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders.
McGahn is emerging as a central witness in House Democrats’ probe of possible obstruction of justice, after special counsel Robert Mueller’s report outlined Trump’s directives to McGahn to shut down the Mueller probe.
