BREAKING: After being briefed on FBI Kavanaugh report, Grassley says no new information, no corroboration for allegations

Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, the first senator to be briefed on the new FBI report into allegations of sexual misconduct against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, said Thursday that “there’s nothing in it that we didn’t already know.”

“This investigation found no hint of misconduct and the same is true of the six prior FBI background investigations conducted during Judge Kavanaugh’s 25 years of public service,” Grassley said in a statement after being briefed on the report by Judiciary Committee staff. “It’s time to vote,” he added.

All senators will have secure access to the new information on Thursday.
