Nearly a year after the election, there has been no evidence whatsoever of any sort of “Russian meddling” in the 2016 election, in spite of the ongoing allegations by the Clinton wing. Indeed, they never even got around to deciding just how (they imagine) Russia “meddled,” much less why. Out here in the real world, people have been well aware of the strained relationship between Putin and Trump from the start. Shortly after taking office, we saw the notable (Trump) buildup of US/NATO troops hear the Russian border, widely regarded as a potential provocation (by the US) of war (against Russia). Now add in the recent (Trump) sanctions. These are not gestures of friendship, much less proof of some sort of partnership/”collusion.”
