Factual Reporting: MIXED
VivaLiberty is a news and opinion blog/website with a right-wing bias in reporting choices. Most articles are snippets from other news agencies that then link to the full story. In our review, we found that VivaLiberty sources to a variety of sources, with most from the right such as Newsbusters, which is not always a factual source. The common theme of all articles on this website is that they are pro-conservative and anti-liberal. For example, a quick scan of articles from their political category reveals about half to be anti-Clinton and this is 7 months after she lost the election. Overall, this site has a strong right-wing bias and does source properly. However, due to sourcing to far-right sources that are not always factual, we give VivaLiberty a “mixed” factual rating. Further, we could not find information on who owns and runs this website. (D. Van Zandt 6/5/2017)
