Factual Reporting: HIGH

Truth Against the Machine is a political commentary website founded by Jordan Chariton, who is an American investigative reporter, who formerly worked for the digital news network The Young Turks until his departure in 2017.

In review, Truth Against the Machine bills itself as “an army of up-and-coming independent journalists who are unwilling to swim in the sea of bullshit “narratives” pushed by corporate media.” Truth Against the Machine publishes very well-sourced articles that link to credible media outlets and information. All articles favor the left and denigrate the right. There is significant use of loaded words such as Boston Herald Bankrupt, Workers Screwed in Bankruptcy Agreement. Politically, Truth Against the Machine aligns with progressive Democrats such as Bernie Sanders, as opposed to establishment Democratic candidates. A factual search reveals they have not failed a fact check. Overall, Truth Against the Machine is far left biased based on story selection and political affiliation and high for factual reporting based on comprehensive sourcing. (D. Van Zandt 2/28/2018)
