Analysis / Bias

Metamorphosis Foundation publishes from a pro-democracy, pro-transparency, pro-EU, digital-rights, and anti-disinformation perspective. This places it on the Left-Center side of the spectrum, particularly through its support for open government, civic engagement, inclusion, media literacy, gender-sensitive digital safety, and accountability for institutions. However, the site is not primarily partisan; its bias is rooted in liberal-democratic civil-society values rather than party politics.

For example, New position paper calls for the inclusion of the Western Balkans in the EU Democracy Shield advocates for the Western Balkans to be included in European democratic-resilience and disinformation-monitoring systems. The article is clearly pro-EU and frames the region as part of Europe’s democratic security perimeter, while focusing on foreign information manipulation, election-related disinformation, anti-EU narratives, and digital-rights risks.

Similarly, Online Violence, Misinformation, and Digital Safety Drive Urgent Regional Advocacy Action emphasizes online safety, misinformation, hate speech, gender-based digital harm, cybersecurity, AI risks, and institutional accountability. The article reflects a civil-society and human-rights perspective, especially regarding protections for women, journalists, activists, vulnerable groups, and public figures.

The publication DISINFORMATION TRENDS AND NARRATIVES IN THE WESTERN BALKAN REGION Media Monitoring Report October – December 2025 provides regional analysis of anti-Western, anti-EU, anti-NATO, anti-migrant, and pro-Russian disinformation narratives. The report is analytical and advocacy-oriented, but it is grounded in media monitoring, regional research, and documented narrative trends.

Overall, Metamorphosis Foundation is transparent about its mission, donors, partners, and advocacy focus. Its work is strongly aligned with liberal-democratic institutions, European integration, digital rights, and anti-disinformation efforts. This creates a clear worldview but not a record of factual unreliability. Its reports and publications are generally evidence-based, policy-focused, and produced within recognized civil-society and fact-checking networks.
